This week has been amazing! and also discouraging, but encouraging! Isn’t it great how you can have all of those feelings at once? :] It’s a real emotional rollercoaster.
Tuesday we had a Zone Conference including 2 Zones and President and Sister Ames attended. It was the biggest spiritual pump yet! There are certain things about missionary work that im more reserved about doing, but that meeting just made me want to forget about it! President used a golfing analogy that we need to teach in a way that is all at once, its not about “Spinning plates.” teach them one thing, move to the next, and the next, but then jump back to keep the “plates spinning” (referring to the circus act spinning plates on a pole). So he told us its like a golf swing – all at once, you just dont think about it. All the components work together. He let a missionary hit a fake golf ball across the cultural hall haha.
After the conference, Elder Austin went up to President and said, “You should come to the driving range with us next P-day!” and President said, “I don’t know if ill be able to” and Elder Austin said, “Oh, you just don’t think you can hit as far as me!” and Pres. said, “Ok fine, im coming.” hahah so funny. So were going to the range today!
On Wednesday I went on exchanges with a different set of missionaries in which I trade places with another missionary for a day. It was interesting, but sorta cool. Got to do some Familysearch!
This week there was some sort of explosion behind us in our apartment parking lot…sounded like a shotgun but the shockwave felt like a cannon. Still don’t know what it is, but it shook the neighbors out of their apartments!
Man theres always so much to talk about! Friends/Family can write for other experiences. Until next week!
Love Y’all!
