Sense of Humor

It is said that, “A sense of humor is an escape valve for the pressures of life . . . and helps revelation” (Elder Richard G. Scott)

If this is the case, I totally want to be in on a conversation with The Presidency and the 12 Apostles cause with all that revelation, they must be hilarious!

We’ve had some pretty funny experiences the last couple of weeks, but one of my absolute favorites was when we were on exchange with Kenny and I told him to say, “OHWA TAHFOO LIE-AM” really fast. It was hilarious! (Yes I got a video!) Thank you mother for teaching me this trick 🙂 as for the rest of you, try it out! Haha

We went on exchange with the Belton Elders, Elders Sikaleti and Jeffries. I went with Elder Jeffries in his area and we had a grand old time contacting people in the streets and placing Books of Mormon. One of my favorite guys we contacted was a big bearded skinny guy with one of those English hat things (don’t judge, I don’t know what it’s called…). As we came up to him he yelled, “MORMONS! I LOVE MORMONS!!” He tried hard to know our first names and said he’d love to “hangout” with us sometime. He has read D&C and such and just can’t wrap his head around some of our beliefs (as I couldnt understand his…) He’ll figure it out eventually!

We do service every Thursday handing out boxes of food to those in need from a food pantry and it’s awesome! Meet the craziest people!

We did service at a non profit thrift store and helped them organize their blankets, sheets, and curtains.

We finished our lessons with Christina! She will be baptized a week from Saturday! She is so ready!

We have been teaching Gina and she is slowly progressing. She has the desire though!

Wesley has been making the changes in his life to get closer to baptism!

We are meeting with Elder Falabella this Friday! He will first meet with the MLC group, then with the rest of the mission will join us. The biggest hassle is trying to find rides to bring our zone up 2-3 hours north and bring us back down. We have a mini van, so we are taking the Killeen Zone Leaders and our Sister Training Leaders up Wednesday night so we all don’t have to wake up at 4 in the morning to drive up.

We also are under the responsibility to find Hermana Ford, Elder Williams, Elder Escobar, Elder Barber, Elder Law (All Waco Zone), and Elder Evensen (Killeen Zone) all in the same car to go up to the metroplex on Wednesday for a followup trainers meeting and departing temple trip.

Pray for us!

Love y’all!
Elder Householder
