This week has been pretty hectic. Try having Zone Council, ZoneConference, and Stake Conference
Zone Council this week had to be the best of 7 I’ve been to on my mission. The Spirit was strong and everyone came prepared to learn! Maybe a reason I enjoyed it was because I didn’t have to plan it this time! 😀 Elder Anderson and I were asked to team teach the Zone about “Being a Full-Purpose Missionary” and I feel it turned out well! The other District Leader trained about working with members and ward councils.
Zone Conference was amazing! (Didn’t have to plan that either ;D) President Ames is such a great speaker and inspirer. I can always feel his love for us. He starts every meeting with some scriptures on counseling (D&C 88:122-123). We have amazing councils. He talked all about how to work with Ward Leaders and prepare for the coming years goals and plans.
Stake Conference was shweetish fish! Elder Pino of the 70 spoke to us in Spanish and made my Bishop translate for him the whole time! He’s hilarious! He called President Ames and the Stake President to the podium on both sides of him, and said, “This is how the Stake
President and Mission President should work!” *pushing them into each other chest to chest* Hahah it was hilarious. Also, he called some members to the front (like 10) and told them to sing to us, “I am a child of God” and it sounded pretty good. Then he had them pick their favorite hymns and sing their own at the same time and it sounded horrible! So he used this to say how everyone should work in unity and
harmony in Ward Councils.
Luis now has a Baptismal Date for Jan 9th! He really understands the Apostasy and Restoration! We will meet with him twice a week.
We visited a lady that our Elders Quorum President gave us to try by and she let us share a message with her and so we asked her how she joined the church and about her testimony and she started crying! After a spirit filled pause, she said, “I just need to get back into the right way” and we have another appointment to help her along her way!
We have been able to set up some great appointments set for this coming week and I’m excited! I love my District, they are such hard workers.
Brother Bigford Is going to meet with bishop soon to start the process to getting the Melchizedek Priesthood!
We have really been focusing on the Book of Mormon in our wards and passing them out. I feel the Spirit so strong and am comforted each time I read. It’s true! Texans just need to read it!
Love you all!
