This week has probably been the hardest of my mission so far…and maybe even my life. Can’t share too many details, just that through each of these trials Elder Austin and I have become closer as a companionship and been able to change a lot.
Last Pday we were able to throw some frisbees, footballs, and soccerballs around and have a BBQ. It wasn’t Texas style though…the Elder cooking is from the north west, so instead we had char-dogs haha but it was still good.
We’ve noticed a BIG correlation between members inviting and RESULTS. You know how claude came last week because Bro. Washington invited him? well this week Bro. Washinton invited him again to listen to him speak in church and he came! We didnt even have to pounce on him or anything! Haha then after sacrament meeting, everyone was shaking his hand, and then one even didnt let go of his hand and pulled him into class! haha really funny.
Another time, We’ve been trying to meet with a certain couple for the longest time to teach them the first lesson, but they keep rescheduling. We then asked for their fellowshipper (basically a member that we told to be their friend ha..) to invite them over for dinner, and they came! and are both gonna be baptized next month.
Its simple. Lesson 1 taught in a members home + the spirit = starting down the road of salvation! whoo! Its so great to see people taking the first step, all they need is a member holding their hand on the way.
We’ve been doing lots of service this week! Which means cuts, bruises, sun burns, and mosquito bites! I mean…Battle wounds… I love getting out in the open and do some service, Its the best! Especially when food is involved! haha
Well, Im sorry there hasnt been much to write about this week, Ill have some good adventures for next time :]
Love ya, BYE!!
